Emerge Art Fair drew a large crowd with many curious lookers even at the last hours of the fair. White Columns, a non profit space in N.Y. is always looking for exhibitions and with a 75% return to artists from sales, they are determined to help artists earn a living.
I hope the fair will be annual and grow with time. I'd like to hear your feedback. Should we have an annual fair like Miami, Chicago, etc? Do we need a different perspective? How do artists of all ages fit into the D.C. "scene" and help to activate this vital creative center?

  1. Impressed by Andrea Pollan's Corators Office. Beautiful, well executed, intriguing artistry. I say 3 artists in this small space whose work was though provoking and masterful. One artist created very delicate and minimal drawings derived from his computer science background while another watercolorist's figurative works were floated on delicious papers with controlled, mysteries images. Her small, stamp size eye paintings were delicately framed with an almost copper foil like scroll design.
